Estelle was a loved and important person in the lives of my Auckland family (Pinkney's) and this made her important to our family also.
The memory I have of Estelle was of a young girl who very much (to me) resembled her maternal grandmother. As an adolescent she had the height, poise and voice of her grandmother -- when I met her again as a grown woman I noted that she had perfected those qualities and was quite stunning.
She was much loved in life - too much to be forgotten in death.
